About OCF
Overseas Christian Fellowship believes in Christ Jesus as our Saviour and Lord and through him, we are able to relate to God. We see the Bible as God's Word and the Holy Spirit as our counsellor until the Second Coming of Jesus takes place.
Our vision:
The present - to reach out and build up Overseas Christian Students; and
The future - to prepare and to send them back for home ministries
The vision of OCF is God's eternal purpose seen in a soecial group of people: overseas students in Australia.
Our aims:
To reach out:
share the Gospel and have a heart for mission. e.g. Personal Evangelism - lifestyle, family, flatmates, coursemates.
To build up:
- to instil a longing for God's word and its application in our lives, and a desire to grow in spiritual maturity.
- to instil a desire to serve God through training and serving opportunities in OCF, especially in developing characters of spiritual leadership
- to instil a desire to impart our Christian experience to another so that others will be built up to spiritual maturity
To send back:
To instil a sense of mission as each returns to our home country by providing teaching on practical issues, information, contact with reception centres and continuing support
